You need to decide on your budget, how long you wish to stay, what size unit you wish to live in and if you wish to live alone, with friends, or with others.

We have a large selection of unit sizes, prices, and terms. We maintain a list of currently available units on our website so periodic checking is recommended to be first to see newly available units.

We normally do not know what units will be available more than 2 months into the future but we do have some units under the Queens Landlord plan that are available for May 1 - April 30 leases that are known 4 – 6 months in advance.

We recommend that you call us at 613 544-1842 during normal business hours and make an appointment to view currently available and upcoming units.

If this is not practical, you can view the available units and plans on our website and apply online. Note that the link to the Guarantor Agreement form is on the Available Units panel.

You can also download an application from our website, fill it in, and forward it to us.

In both cases you need to review the application, the non-refundable aspect of the deposit, and allow us to confirm your suitability as a resident at Princess Towers.

Smoke alarms are installed in every unit, and are not to be moved or tampered with. Princess Towers will provide a new battery when you move in and occupants are responsible to immediately inform us if the unit becomes defective or requires a replacement battery. The Fire Department will charge a significant fine for violations. During our annual inspections the alarms are exercised.

Monthly fire drills should be expected.

If there is a fire DO NOT ATTEMPT TO FIGHT ANY FIRE and DO NOT USE THE ELEVATORS.

When a fire alarm occurs, both elevators automatically descend to the ground level for use only by the Fire Department.

Never prop open any stairwell door. The automatic pressurization systems are designed to keep smoke out of the fire exit stairwells if a fire situation occurs. Propping the doors open will reduce the effectiveness of this life safety measure. These fire exit stairs are at the east and west ends of the building and the elevator lobbies of levels 14, 15 and 16.

In the event of an electric power failure during a fire, an emergency generator will operate the stairwell pressurization system, the emergency lighting, the emergency communications system, and one elevator.


If you observe a Fire in your unit:

1. Get everyone out of the room/unit and shut the door to contain the fire

2. Go to the stairwell at the end of the building away from the elevators

3. Pull the alarm at the entrance to the stairwell (only if your unit has the fire)

4. Descend to the ground level and exit the building to the back parking lot.

5. Do not re-enter the building until authorized to do so.

If there is a fire in another portion of the building:

1. Get everyone out of your unit

2. Go to the nearest stairwell at the end of the building. If there is smoke or fire between you and that stairwell, or in that stairwell, cross through the elevator lobby to the opposite stairwell.

3. If you are on the 14th, 15th or 16th level you would normally exit through the east stairwell to the parking lot. If there is a fire or smoke preventing this, go to the 14th floor elevator lobby, exit through the emergency door, go across this roof to the door on the west stairwell. Both these doors have alarms that will sound when opened.

4. Descend to the ground level and exit the building to the back parking lot.

5. Do not re-enter the building until authorized to do so.

Although we, and the majority of our tenants, would like to be in a smoke free zone, some tenants arrived before that was a condition of their occupancy. We are moving toward being a smoke free zone. See Section S of the "Ontario Residential Tenancy Agreement (Standard Form of Lease)" and "Appendix B - Additional Terms". Should the Tenant and/or his/her guest smoke inside their unit, (s)he will be responsible for the charges incurred to repaint the entire unit (including labor and materials) at the end of the lease period.

Our location in the central area of the City provides significant reductions in transportation, infrastructure, and non-renewable resource consumptions.

In a further attempt to address our environmental footprint we recycle glass, plastic, cardboard and used batteries.
We use community resources for the initial 3 but the batteries are collected and managed in-house and all proceeds go to a local charity.

1. To provide a safe and healthy environment we introduced enhanced cleaning protocols with a focus on high traffic and high contact areas. All main level doors, elevator doors, handrails & buttons on all levels, office counter, and laundry room doors will be cleaned 4 times per day with Lysol wipes until the threat is removed;

2. We have a hand sanitizer in the office;

3. Only 2 visitors should be in the office at one time. When it is occupied, the doors should be propped open to minimize human contact;

4. Etiquette:

a. If you have any symptoms of the flu (fever, trouble breathing, coughing), or have come into contact with someone who has tested positive, self-quarantine and contact local authorities;

b. avoid shaking hands – use the elbow,

c. Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue or into your sleeve,

d. Social distancing - maintain a two (2) meter distance from others who, even though they do not appear to be sick, may be carriers;

e. Wash your hands thoroughly and often with soap before touching your eyes, nose or mouth;

f. Avoid visiting with anyone who is feeling unwell;

g. We discourage payment by cash which may transmit the virus;

h. We encourage Email - info@princesstowers.ca - (rather than paper) for work orders and messages – this also helps the environment by reducing paper;

We do not provide furniture in the larger apartments with balconies (Styles 1A, 2A, 2B & 2C).

All apartments have stoves & fridges. Some may have a single combined fridge-stove unit, while others have a fridge, convection oven/microwave, & hotplate.

We have a limited amount of furniture that can be rented based on availability (first come first served). A unit, if rented furnished by the prior tenant it will probably be available with furniture - check with the office. When requested, and depending upon availability, we will attempt to obtain and provide the following:

Style 0 (Studio-Bachelor units) will have a bed, dresser, chair, student desk, window & shower curtains, microwave and TV;

Style 1 (Single 1 Bedroom) will have a bed, dresser, chair & desk, window & shower curtains, small kitchen table with 2 chairs or eating counter top with bar stools, loveseat, microwave and TV;

Style 2 (Double 2 bedroom) will have a bed, dresser, chair, & desk in each bedroom; as well as window & shower curtains, loveseat, small kitchen table & 2 chairs or eating counter top with bar stools, microwave and TV.

Additional monthly costs for these furnishings are:

Studio Bachelor $100
Single 1 Bedroom $175
Double 2 Bedroom $250
